On your arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be met by a representative of SUNBIRD TOURS for your transfer to your overnight establishment in Windhoek.
The Olive Grove Guesthouse is an up market establishment situated in a quit and peaceful area not too far way from the city centre. Accommodation is offered in elegant en-suite rooms with a large verandah in front of every room, with tables and chairs for
al-fresco dining. The open-air lounge, spa bath, plunge pool and tranquil garden all invite the visitor to unwind and relax under Namibia’s open skies.
A guided city tour of Windhoek in the afternoon is included.

Day 2:

|
Early morning transfer to Eros Airport from where your flying safari starts into the Namib Desert to the Sossusvlei area. Enjoy a guided drive into the Sossusvlei, a dry clay pan surrounded with the highest dunes in the world.
Afterwards your flight takes you over the dunes to the southern part of the Skeleton Coast, where you will fly over some interesting shipwrecks and remains of old diamond mines on your way to Swakopmund, Namibia’s seaside resort. This town is of singular charm, nestled between desert and ocean. It has a restful and relaxing atmosphere with carefully tended public gardens.
The Hansa Hotel offers a relaxed, but personal approach to service. Each of the fifty superbly twin/double rooms and five suits are individually decorated. The restaurant is known for seafood and game specialties and also offers a unique wine list.

Day 3:

|
Early morning transfer to Walvis Bay for a boat trip through the lagoon and harbour of Walvis Bay, the Bird Island and moored Russian trawlers. Inquisitive seals and schools of dolphins, swimming alongside the boat, provide entertainment. Fresh Walvis Bay oysters, snacks and cold champagne are served on the boat to round off the trip.
Transfer back to Swakopmund for your flight to the Cape Cross Lodge, situated literally meters away from the Atlantic Ocean, on Namibia’s awesome Skeleton Coast, close to the biggest cape fur seal colony in the world. On the upper deck are eight en-suite rooms, all with private balconies offering superb views over a huge bay. The reception area, curio shop, bar and lounge with fireplaces, a quirky wine cellar, two dining areas and a full-length outer deck are overlooking the beach.
In the afternoon visit the seals at Cape Cross.

Day 4:

After breakfast flight over the Damaraland and the Kaokoveld to the Epupa Falls in the Kunene River.
On the banks of the river, under shady Makalani trees, you will find the neat and comfortable Camp Epupa. Accommodation is provided in big comfortable tents each with en-suite shower and toilet.
Included activities are a “Sundowner” on top of a hill overlooking the falls as well as a guided tour to the Himba people, an ancient tribe of semi-nomadic pastoralists, many of who still live and dress to ancient traditions. On a guided trip to a village, you have the chance to meet these people and to learn much about their way of live, their traditions and customs.

Day 5:

|
Leave this rugged area in the morning with a flight over the Etosha Pan to the Mushara Lodge, situated on the eastern boarder of the Etosha National Park.
The thatched main lodge consists of a small library, bar with an extensive wine cellar, an airy lounge with welcoming fireplace for chilly winter evenings, dining area and well-stocked curio shop. A large, tiled and bright blue swimming pool is also available.
Ten well-spaced thatched chalets are extremely spacious and furnished with air-conditioning, mosquito net, mini bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, electric lights, direct telephone and en-suite bathrooms.
Enjoy your first guided game drive in the park in the afternoon.

Day 6:

Etosha National Park, with its size of 22 270km˛, is one of the largest game parks in Africa.
Etosha owes its unique landscape to the Etosha Pan, a vast shallow depression of approximately 5 000km˛. A series of waterholes along the southern edge of the pan guarantees rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. Several of the 114 mammal species found in the park are rare and/or endangered, including the black rhino and black-faced impala. Over 340 bird species have been recorded at Etosha.
Spend the morning and afternoon on private guided game drives in the park to experience the bounty of wildlife.

Day 7:
|
|
Your onward flight in the morning takes you to the Caprivi.
Susuwe Island Lodge, on Birre Island, is situated on the banks of the Kwando River within the spectacular Bwabwata National Park.
Surrounded by the savannahs of the national park are 6 suites, overlooking the Kwando River. All suites have double bedrooms and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, hairdryer, overhead fan, mosquito nets and private deck with plunge pool. The main complex facilities include lounge and dining areas, reference library, curio shop, fire pit and a double level viewing deck built into the forest canopy.
Activities include game drives in 4x4 vehicles into the national park. Elephant, buffalo lion, leopard, hippo, lechwe, sable antelope and wild dog are amongst the many animals occurring here. Night drives give amazing insight into the African bush.
Wonderful and informative walks are possible as well as boat cruises on the Kwando River.

Day 9:

After a last early morning activity and hearty brunch a short flight will take you to the tip of the Caprivi - the Impalila Island.
Ichingo Chobe River Lodge is situated on the eastern tip of Namibia where the two major rivers - Chobe and Zambezi - and four countries meet opposite the Botswana town of Kasane. This is a tented camp, offering a real African experience using large double Meru tents with thatched en suite bathrooms, overlooking the Chobe River rapids.
Guided walks on the island offer an insight into traditional communal village life and boat excursions allows superb game viewing along the banks of the Chobe River, where herds of elephant and other game come to the river to drink.

Day 10:

Today will be filled with exciting game viewing along the banks of the Chobe River.
The keen fisherman could try his luck at catching a tiger fish or bream.

An early morning boat cruise can be very rewarding.
The return flight to Windhoek will take you over the Okavango Swamps.
On arrival at Eros Airport we will transfer you to your guesthouse.
