| Day 1: Arrival Windhoek - Karibib |
|
On arrival at the Windhoek International Airport, you will be met by your tour guide for the start of your safari. You travel western Namibia for your first night stay at the Etusis Lodge. This intimate lodge is an oasis on the 20 000 ha of savannah and surrounded by mountainous bushveld. Enjoy your first impression of the endless vistas of Namibia, with a rich fauna and flora. A waterhole in front of the lodge offers you your first game viewing.

Day 2: Karibib - Twyfelfontein
|
|
| Depart in the morning with scenic drive along the majestic Erongo and Brandberg Mountain to Twyfelfontein. The thatched dome-shaped structures of Mowani Mountain Camp’s main complex echo the shape of the rough-textured granite boulders, amongst which they are built, creating the ambience of an African Village. From the raised luxury tents you can enjoy an unforgettable view over the endless gravel plains and mountains of the Damaraland.

Day 3: Twyfelfontein – Etendeka
|
|
Visit the rock engravings and paintings at Twyfelfontein, recently declared as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Proceed to the Grootberg Lodge, perched on the Etendeka Plateau overlooking the Klip River Valley.
The rock and thatch chalets gaze out over the gorge, where black eagles hunt just below the level of the private deck.
The #Koadi//Hoas comunity has put aside 12 000ha for a tourism consession to conserve the black rhino and the desert adapted elefants.

Day 4: Etendeka - Etosha National Park
|
|
Depart in the morning through breathtaking mountain sceneries to Kamanjab and visit a “Living Museum” a Himba village, ancient semi-nomadic tribe of Namibia. Here you have the opportunity to get an impression of how they still live and dress according to ancient traditions. The Himba live in scattered settlements throughout the Kunene region, the Kaokoveld.
Continue to the Etosha Mountain Lodge, situated in a huge private game park on the south-western boundary of the Etosha National Park.
The lodge offers luxury chalets, a comfortable lounge, dining room, bar and swimming pool surrounded by teak decks.
A guided game drive in the afternoon in this private nature park offers you the chance of seeing black and white rhino, giraffe, eland, mountain zebra and various antelopes like kudu, oryx and springbuck.

Day 5: Etosha National Park
|
|
Drive through various vegetation zones and all along the Etosha Pan, with its natural springs and man made waterholes, always on the look out for game and bird species.
In the late afternoon leave the park and drive to Onguma Plains Camp in the Onguma Private Nature Park at the edge of the Fisher’s Pan and bordering the Etosha National Park. The lodge offers accommodation of a different kind, leaning onto the Moorish architecture. The luxurious rooms all offer a view over the Fisher’s Pan in the Etosha National Park.

Day 6: Etosha National Park
|
|
A full day of game viewing in Etosha National Park. The park was proclaimed in 1907 and still is one of the largest game reserves in Africa. Its definite feature is the Etosha Pan, a vast, shallow depression of approximately 5000km˛. For the greater part of the year this pan is a bleak expanse of white cracked mud, which shimmers with mirages on most days. Seeing vast herds of game against this eerie backdrop, referred to in the local vernacular as the “great white place of dry water”, makes the Etosha game viewing experience unique.

Day 7: Etosha National Park – Okavango River - Rundu
|
|
On the way to Rundu on the Okavango River visit the Lake Otjikoto near Tsumeb.
In the Kavango region the people make a living from fishing, cattle farming and cultivating sorghum, millet and maize on fertile plains.
Overnight in the Hakusembe Lodge situated on the banks of the Okavango River, offering luxury chalets overlooking the Okavango River.

Day 8: Rundu – Caprivi – Kwando River
|
|
Proceed through the Caprivi National Park to the Lianshulu Lodge on the banks of the Kwando River. This private concession lies in the Mudumu National Park surrounded by Mopane woodlands. Lianshulu Lodge is situated in the shade of a riverine forest affording uninterrupted views over the Kwando River and its flood plains from different decks.
An afternoon boat cruise on the river is included, enabling you to watch the colorful bird life and various game species in this area.

Day 9: Kwando River - Botswana
|
|
In the course of the morning a boat transfer down the Kwando River takes you to the Botswana border post. Here your guide and tracker from the Kwando Lagoon Camp will meet you for a short drive to the camp, which often is your first exciting game drive in Botswana.
The Kwando Lagoon Camp nestles under huge trees on the banks of the Kwando River. The luxurious and spacious tents are fully furnished with en-suite baths.
Scrumptious meals are served in the main area or around the fire place.

Day 10 and 11: Botswana
|
|
Enjoy days of game viewing activities either by boat on the Kwando River or in an open vehicle through open grassland savannah and mopane woodlands. Herds of impala, zebra,
tsessebe, wildebeest and buffalo roam this remote part of Botswana, attracting predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and African wild dog.
This area is known for its big elephant population and sightings of 1000 elephants on a single game drive are recorded regularly.
As this is a concession area spectacular night drives are conducted, offering you to see nocturnal animals and the smaller cats like
serval, caracal and African wild cat.

Day 12: Caprivi – Popa Falls – Okavango River
|
|
Transfer back to Lianshulu in the morning and continue through the Caprivi National Park to the Ndhovu Lodge, situated on the banks of the Okavango River close to the Mahango National Park.
Accommodation is offered in luxury twin bedded tents, all with en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and a private deck with table and chairs, overlooking the Okavango.
Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Popa Falls in the afternoon.

Day 13: Okavango River - Mahango National Park

A guided game drive in the morning shows you the beauty of the Mahango National Park with possible sightings of roan and sable antelopes.
A boat cruise on the Kavango River is included in the afternoon.

Day 14: Caprivi – Hoba Meteorit – Otavi
|
|
In the morning depart via Rundu, Grootfontein and Otavi to the Gabus Game Ranch situated near the Uiseb Mountains. En route visit the Hoba Metorite near Grootfontein. The meteorite consists of iron and nickel, weighing 50 tons.
The spacious guest rooms overlook the water hole, which is lit at night time attracting an abundance of wildlife. Enjoy the hospitality and the excellent cuisine offered by your hosts, the ranch owners.

Day 15: Otavi – Okahandja - Windhoek
|
|
Continue in the morning via Otjiwarongo to Okahandja, a town of great significance to the Herero people because it once was the seat of Chief Samuel Maharero.
Proceed to Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, a small but bustling city with a population of approximately 300 000, situated in an airy basin in the central highlands of Namibia. Windhoek is often described as a city with a “continental” atmosphere. This can be ascribed to its architecture - historical buildings dating back to German colonial rule - as well as to its cuisine, culture, dress and educational institutions. At the same time Windhoek has the color, sounds and tempo of a modern African city.
