On your arrival you will be met by your tour guide for the transfer to Windhoek.
The Windhoek Country Club Casino & Resort is built to the highest international standards in a unique setting.

With four stars, 150 rooms, two luxury suites and one magnificent duplex residential suite, the hotel has the full complement of facilities you'd expect in an international hotel.
The Kokerboom Restaurant is linked to the swimming pool and water-world.

Enjoy the rest of the day acclimatizing and to relax after the flight.
A city tour of Windhoek in the afternoon is included.
Windhoek is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Namibia. It is located in the central Khomas Region, and has a population of about 300 000.

The hot springs attracted the first settlers to this area. In the mid-1800s Captain Jan Jonker Afrikaner settled near one of the main hot springs, located in the present-day Klein-Windhoek, an upper-class suburb of Windhoek.

After 1907, development accelerated as people migrated from the countryside to the city and also some immigrated from outside the country. There was also a larger influx of European settlers arriving from Germany and South Africa. Businesses were erected on Kaiser Street, present Independence Avenue, and along the dominant mountain ridge over the city, including the three eye-catching castles.

Your guide will gladly take you to a restaurant in town for lunch and/or dinner.
Or enjoy your meals at the hotel.

Day 5: Barchan Dunes Retreat – Swakopmund (± 3.5 hrs travel time)

Today’s travel will take you through the spectacular Ghaub and Kuiseb Canyon and the endless plains of the Namib Naukluft Park to Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.

Swakopmund was founded in 1892, two years later than Windhoek, by Captain Curt von François. It was intended to be the main harbor of German South-West Africa. Increased traffic between Germany and its colony necessitated establishing a port of its own, as Walvis Bay, located 33 kilometers south, was in British possession. The choice fell to a site north of the Swakop River, because water was readily available.

The Hansa Hotel- nestling in the very center of the charming little town of Swakopmund in Namibia, is wrapped in the shape of a timelessly classical building dating from 1905. The hotel forms an integral part of Swakopmund's architectural heritage and offers you a feeling of luxury and sophisticated hospitality, matched with friendly and personalized service. Each of the fifty superbly furnished twin/double rooms and five suites are individually decorated. The restaurant is renowned for seafood and game specialties and also offers a unique wine list. The hotel also has a secluded garden courtyard.

Day 10 & 11: Etosha National Park

The Etosha Nationa Park was established in 1907, when Namibia was a German colony known as South West Africa. At the time, the park’s original 100,000 km² (38,500 mile²) made it the largest game reserve in the world. Due to political changes since its original establishment, the park is now slightly less than a quarter of its original area, reaching its current surface area of 22 912 km², but still remains a very large and significant area in which wildlife is protected.

Etosha, meaning "Great White Place", is dominated by a massive mineral pan. The pan is part of the Kalahari Basin, the floor of which was formed around 1000 million years ago. The Etosha Pan covers around 25% of the National Park.
A series of waterholes along the southern edge of the pan guarantees rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. Several of the 114 mammal species found in the park are rare and/or endangered, including the black rhino and black-faced impala. Over 340 bird species have been recorded in the park.

Game viewing in the park with your guide or enjoy the tranquility of the lodge.

Day 12: Mushara Lodge - Frans Indongo Lodge (± 3.5hrs travel time)

Return to Tsumeb and on to the Frans Indongo Lodge, situated north of the Waterberg Mountains. The Lodge exudes the sense for life of northern Namibia’s people in a most charming way. The complex is modeled on traditional Ovambo homesteads: palisades of tall pointed stakes embrace the lodge and convey a feeling of the warmth and security of a home right in the middle of the African bush. Inside the complex a palisade separates the restaurant and swimming pool area from the guest chalets and thereby provides more privacy. A variety of beautiful building materials like natural stone, wood and reed were used for the houses. Items of daily use in Ovambo – earthen pots, voluminous storage baskets or original wooden figures – serve as decoration to emphasize the African theme, and lend a very special charm to the lodge.
The luxurious character of the lodge is complemented by the interior decoration and colour scheme of the six double rooms and the six generously proportioned chalets. All the rooms have their own bathroom, air-conditioner, fridge, hairdryer, telephone, TV and coffee/tea station.

Relax on the spacious deck in front of the lodge overlooking a vast plain. Here various antelopes can be observed.
