Day 2: Windhoek duration of excursion is flexible

In the morning you will go on a city tour through Windhoek.

Windhoek is a small but bustling city with a population of approximately 300 000, situated in an airy basin in the central highlands flanked by the Auas Mountains to the
South-east, the Eros Mountains to the North-east and the Khomas Highlands on the west.
Windhoek is often described as a city with a “continental” atmosphere. This can be ascribed to its architecture - historical buildings dating back to German colonial rule - as well as to its cuisine, culture, dress and educational institutions. At the same time Windhoek has the colour, sounds and tempo of a modern African city.
The afternoon is at leisure. Enjoy shopping in town or relax at the hotel.

This little town at the Atlantic Ocean gives the impression as though time has stood still for the past years. With a still strong German influence this little town is a wonderful destination for everyone who visits Namibia.
The Hansa Hotel - nestling in the very center of the charming little town of Swakopmund, is wrapped in the shape of a timelessly classical building dating from 1905. The hotel forms an integral part of Swakopmund's architectural heritage and offers you a feeling of luxury and sophisticated hospitality, matched with friendly and personalized service.
Each of the fifty superbly furnished twin/double rooms and five suites are individually decorated. The restaurant is renowned for seafood and game specialties and also offers a unique wine list. The hotel also has a secluded garden courtyard.
